Community

Steeple Langford has a strong community spirit, built around not only the parish and local events, but the sports facilities, organisations and people within the village.  There is huge support for local initiatives and a great 'network' of people that makes the village what it is. You'll find some of the organisations below. 

Parish Council

The parish council meets on the first Tuesday of every month to discuss, for example, planning applications, allocation of parish funds etc.  If you would like anything to be raised, please contact the parish council secretary.

Tennis Club

The tennis court on the village playing field has recently been resurfaced and is now an excellent place to indulge in some gentle exercise!  For those with a competitive drive, there is even a village league.  Family membership is a bargain at £25 a year. To become a member, please contact the tennis club manager.  To book your slot on the court there's a booking form on the bench beside the net.

Cricket Club

Steeple Langford cricket club is flying high in the Wiltshire league.  To find out when and where we're playing, or if you're interested in joining, contact the cricket club manager.  For 2006 fixtures and results, watch this space.

All Saints Church

Steeple Langford belongs to the parish of Wylye and the Langfords and services rotate around these villages.  To find details of services please check your Parish Newsletter. 

Village Hall

There's always something going on in the Village Hall, which incidently, is located in the next door village of Hanging Langford in case you're wondering where it is.  Keep an eye on the 'What's On' page of this website for up to date details of events taking place.  Or, you can book the hall for your own event - prices are very reasonable.... contact the village hall manager for more details. 

School

Steeple Langford Primary School has been running in the village for 60 years  For details, please contact the school.
